Stephanie Fisk has been hired as a Professional Development (PD) Content Specialist for the Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials (MASBO), assisting Board members and the MASBO team with content generation, program development and evaluation, and member training and support. She began working in the role in September.
Stephanie retired in June 2025 as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations at the Gateway Regional School District, following more than 40 years of dedicated service in school business management.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has overseen budgeting, grants, security, maintenance, food service, facilities, and operations, with a consistent focus on fiscal efficiency and transparency. She served on the MASBO Board of Directors from 2006 to 2012 and was elected MASBO President in 2013. In 2019, she was appointed by Governor Charlie Baker to the Special Commission to Study and Make Recommendations to Improve Efficiencies Relative to Transportation for Students, recognizing her leadership and expertise in operational management.
Stephanie’s professional accomplishments have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Donald D. Johnson Operational and Cost Efficiency Award for Gateway Regional School District in 2018 and the Friend of MASBO Award in 2023.
